The dividend distribution, amounting to RM505.68 million, is higher than last year's 4.05% rate, making it the highest Simpan SSPN dividend announced in the past 11 years.

For 40-year-old father Sukhbir Cheema, the latest dividend announcement reaffirmed his decision in saving with Simpan SSPN

"I'm saving in Simpan SSPN Prime mainly for my 10-year-old daughter's education because it's low risk along with the RM8,000 tax relief it offers," he shared.

Sukhbir also shared the importance of education in his family.

"When I was a student, PTPTN played a big part in allowing me to complete my studies. With its Shariah-compliant flat interest rate of 1% per annum, I was able to complete my studies and join the professional workforce.

"With Simpan SSPN Prime, my daughter will have the needed funds at her disposal to take up higher education of her choice. This gives me and my family some peace of mind," he added.

Meanwhile, Akmal Redzwan, father of two daughters, shared that he has been saving in Simpan SSPN for seven years

"I have been saving for them since they were born — since 2018 for my first child and 2019 for my second child," he said.

Akmal also highlighted that higher educational costs encouraged him to save.

"I know that in 10 years' time, the cost of living and tertiary education in college or university will definitely increase. So, from now on, I need to save for their educational needs in the future."

"At the same time, I feel relieved knowing that their future savings are secured," he explained.

Beyond the latest dividend payout, Simpan SSPN also comes with practical benefits that make it more appealing as a long-term savings option

Besides offering competitive dividends, Simpan SSPN provides income tax relief of up to RM8,000 annually, free takaful coverage for depositors, matching grants of up to RM10,000 for eligible families, government guarantee, and Shariah-compliant savings.

At the same time, the government has expanded the Geran Sepadan initiative under the Inisiatif Geran Padanan Ihsan (GAPAI)

This allows eligible families earning between RM4,000 and RM6,000 monthly to apply for matching grants of up to RM5,000.
