Media Prima has been named the official media partner for the PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026
The collaboration with United Pickleball Association Asia (UPA Asia) aims to introduce professional pickleball to a wider Malaysian audience while building excitement around the upcoming tournament.
The partnership will see Media Prima will promote the tournament across its platforms
Its integrated network includes Media Prima Content & Television Networks, REV Media Group, Media Prima Audio, The New Straits Times Press, Tonton, and BigTree.
Beyond promoting the event, both parties will also explore opportunities involving content development, live streaming, ticketing, commerce, and brand collaborations.
The partnership is part of a broader effort to support the growth of professional pickleball in Malaysia through content, live experiences, and digital engagement.
As part of the collaboration, the tournament will be streamed live on Tonton, giving audiences nationwide another way to follow the matches
The tournament will run from 9 to 13 September 2026 at The Hood, Kuala Lumpur, with five days of professional pickleball action.
Confirmed international players include Bolivia's Gabriel Tardio, the current men's world No. 2, and Chinese Taipei's Chao Yi Wang, the current women's world No. 11.
Malaysian players Jimmy Liong Kai Long, Syed Uzair Sufi, and Timothy Foo are also set to compete, with more names to be announced.
