Recognising this, Media Prima Berhad has launched 'Ruang Rehat', a nationwide social initiative that aims to normalise taking breaks and caring for one's mental well-being.

Running from June to October 2026, the campaign carries the message "Jaga Minda, Jaga Hati, Sayangi Diri", encouraging people to pause, recharge, and practise healthier emotional habits.

The initiative forms part of Media Prima's Environmental, Social and Governance efforts

And, it leverages its platforms across television, radio, digital media, and out-of-home advertising to spread the message nationwide.

According to Media Prima, future phases of the campaign will also introduce community-driven activities and experiential spaces that bring the digital wellness concept into the real world.

At the heart of the campaign is RuangRehat.my, a digital space filled with resources designed to help you take a step back from your daily hustle

You can explore wellness articles, mindfulness playlists, visual therapy zones, and other curated content aimed at promoting emotional resilience and self-care.

Media Prima Group Managing Director Rafiq Razali said the initiative is about making mindful breaks a normal part of everyday Malaysian life.

"Our goal is to make mindful breaks a part of Malaysian life. By leveraging the reach of our platforms, we are promoting proactive mental health habits rather than just a crisis response," he said.

He added that the campaign also seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding rest and emotional regulation, highlighting that taking time to pause is essential for long-term productivity and overall well-being.
