The 19th Piala Seri Endon 2024 Annual Batik Design Competition witnessed a moment of elegance as Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, visited the NIVEA booth

As the event's official skincare partner, NIVEA showcased its cutting-edge skincare science with the No.1 Anti-Spot Expert, LUMINOUS630*, aligning with the mission to preserve Malaysia's batik heritage.

During the visit, Her Majesty was welcomed by Dato' Leela Mohd Ali, CEO of Yayasan Budi Penyayang Malaysia, and Dr Christopher Vierhaus, Country Manager of Beiersdorf Malaysia & Singapore.

They engaged in an insightful conversation about NIVEA's LUMINOUS630 Anti-Spot Serum, which tackles both visible and and 'hidden' dark spots that have yet to surface, often forming deep within the skin layers. These hidden dark spots are formed by excess melanin accumulating deep within the skin layers, initially invisible to the naked eye. Over time, as the skin naturally renews itself, these hidden spots gradually rise to the surface, becoming more prominent and harder to treat.

In a gesture of appreciation, NIVEA gifted Her Majesty an exclusive set from the NIVEA LUMINOUS 630 range.

At the event, Dr Vierhaus explained the innovation behind LUMINOUS630, featuring the patented ingredient Thiamidol

This anti-spot solution has recently been validated by over 100 doctors and pharmacists in Malaysia. It is also recognised globally for its effectiveness in reducing dark spots by up to 82%** and enhancing skin luminosity.

Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, it has been acknowledged by the Malaysia Book of Records for having the 'Largest Participation in Anti Dark-Spot Challenge'.

Dr Vierhaus also emphasised the brand's dedication to supporting Malaysia's cultural heritage through the Piala Seri Endon event.

"Our core value of 'care beyond skin' embodies a holistic approach, where we aim to support and celebrate Malaysia's rich cultural heritage alongside enhancing skin health. The Piala Seri Endon event allows us to showcase our world-class anti-spot innovations that can benefit many Malaysians, while also fostering a deep appreciation for the nation's artistic traditions and values.

"We are genuinely delighted to continue our support for this esteemed event, whose mission to nurture and honour Malaysia's batik heritage aligns perfectly with our dedication to caring for both people and culture," added Dr Vierhaus.
