KTMB Launches MySawasdee Penang Edition For Just RM45 One Way

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has launched a special train service, MySawasdee Penang Edition, offering convenient travel between Butterworth, Malaysia, and Hat Yai, Thailand

The MySawasdee Penang Edition will operate from 29 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.

The train will make stops at several major stations, including Bukit Mertajam, Sungai Petani, Alor Setar, Arau, and Padang Besar. Passengers must disembark at Padang Besar for immigration clearance before continuing their journey to Hat Yai.

The MySawasdee Penang Edition train offers one daily trip, priced at just RM45 one way

The train journey will take approximately five hours and 25 minutes.

The 1128 train will depart from Butterworth at 7.40am, arriving in Hat Yai at approximately 12.05pm (Thailand time). Meanwhile, the 1129 train from Hat Yai will leave at 3pm (Thailand time), arriving in Butterworth at 9.46pm.
