KTMB Offers Discount For Those Using KTM Komuter Utara Lines Until January 2025

If you're planning trips to Perlis, Kedah, Penang, or Perak, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering a 10% fare discount from 16 December 2024 to 31 January 2025

According to a Facebook post by KTMB, the discount is exclusively available to those travelling on the KTM Komuter Utara lines.

To enjoy this limited-time offer, passengers must use their physical MyDebit card at the automated control gates before boarding the train.

A RM30 temporary pre-authorisation hold is required per transaction, ensuring sufficient funds. The amount will be automatically refunded to your account within a few days, depending on your bank.

The discount is valid only for full-fare Adult tickets on the KTM Komuter Utara services

Digital wallet users, including Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, are not eligible for the discount.

The 10% MyDebit card discount is applicable at all stations along both KTM Komuter Utara lines, namely the Butterworth–Padang Besar line and the Butterworth–Ipoh line.
