Check Out Malaysia's Own 'Sakura Trees' That Look As Beautiful As The Ones In Japan
These tecoma trees reach peak bloom in March every year!
Millions travel to Japan just to experience the beautiful sakura trees blooming every spring
But did you know, Malaysia has its very own 'sakura season' that peaks in March every year?
Let us introduce you to tecoma trees (Tabebuia Pentaphylla)
These trees bloom beautiful white and pink flowers for only about two weeks a year in the dry season in Malaysia.
These flowering trees are planted in many Malaysian parks and gardens and along the roadsides
However, if you'd like to see them in masses, there are many growing along Jalan Kuala Kedah, Jalan Langgar, and Jalan Yan in Alor Setar, Kedah.
Not to mention, they are also found lining the roads in Bayan Lepas and on the campus grounds of Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang!
Even though they are not cherry blossom trees, they definitely still look as calming and pleasing as the ones in Japan do
So grab your camera and keep a look out.
If you're lucky, you might find yourself noticing some beautiful tecoma trees blooming right in your neighbourhood!
