Looking for a weekend activity with the family? Less than a 30-minute drive from KL city is a vegetable farm where visitors can explore the garden and learn about growing their own food.
Fresh In The City is a vegetable farm in Serdang, Selangor, that welcomes walk-in visitors to buy fresh, pesticide-free vegetables every Saturday and Sunday.
In a post on Threads, the farm said it opens from 9am to 12pm on weekends for visitors to purchase vegetables grown in its garden.

The 7,000 sq m farm grows a variety of vegetables, including black and green edamame, cherry tomatoes, okra, spinach, kangkung, kale, cabbage, lettuce, bok choy, ginger, squash, sweet potatoes, and more
The farm proudly holds a Malaysia Good Agricultural Practice (myGAP) Pesticide Free certification from the Department of Agriculture that it has had since 2023.
Besides vegetables, the farm also sells 'UPM Fresh Eggs', which it sources from Universiti Putra Malaysia's nearby farming facility.

Visitors can enjoy the fresh outdoor air, stroll around the garden, and use a pair of scissors to harvest their own veggies
Once they're done, they can bring their produce to the counter to be weighed and paid for.

The farm also offers educational tours and hands-on activities for children
Children can learn about chickens, understand basic farming practices, and discover how their favourite vegetables are grown.
They also get to plant their own seedlings and harvest vegetables to cook or to bring home and enjoy.
The farm has received positive feedback from families who have visited, with Google reviews describing the experience as a fun, hands-on way for children to learn about farming and where their food comes from.
