Porsche Club Worldwide Celebrates Their 70th Anniversary In Malaysia
The gala dinner held by Porsche Club Malaysia is the largest Porsche Club gathering in Asia-Pacific since the pandemic.
Porsche Club Malaysia (PCM) celebrated the 70-year anniversary of Porsche Club in style, with a prestigious gala dinner and the display of several rare Porsche units
Held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the big bash honoured the establishment of the first Porsche Club in Germany in 1952 with a theme fittingly inspired by 1950s Hollywood glamour.
Malaysia was one of 86 countries worldwide to celebrate Porsche Club's long history.
Over 450 guests from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong attended the gala, with esteemed mentions including Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Manja Tengku Dato' Sri Hajjah Nong Fatimah Binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah; and managing director and chief executive officer of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, Abrar Anwar.
"This is the largest Porsche Club Malaysia gathering since the pandemic," said President of Porsche Club Malaysia Datuk Derrick Lim
Also exhibited were the Porsche classics 356 and 944, locally assembled Porsche Cayenne, and the Porsche Taycan EV – the first ever all-electric Porsche sports car
The 700-horsepower racer Porsche 935, which only has 77 units worldwide, was displayed at the dinner party.
