Managed by Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, PRUKasih Aman aims to build financial resilience among underserved communities. It allows Malaysians who are less able to acquire current insurance products to attain the benefits and protection that comes with an insurance plan.

Meanwhile, Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled is a local non-profit organisation that is committed to serving People with Disabilities, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. The organisation is focused on providing various services to meet the different needs of the local disabled community.

Together, they organised an engagement and registration drive that saw over 100 individuals from the disabled community getting access to a PRUKasih Aman plan

The event was held in three locations across Malaysia — Jementah, Johor; Bandar Melaka, Melaka; and Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Members from Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled were able to sign up for PRUKasih Aman, an affordable protection plan for underserved families who are financially vulnerable to income disruptions.

This gives them protection up to RM18,000 for a low annual premium of only RM75. To support registration, members were also given a subsidy of RM65 to cover the premium.

According to Helen Chong, Head of Administration for Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled, financial protection is very important for people with disabilities

"Medical expenses are becoming more expensive, and inflation is also increasing. Once they fall ill and can no longer work, they aren't able to pay for the high medical expenses or obtain timely treatment.

"Therefore, we are pleased to partner with PRUKasih Aman, so our members can purchase insurance and receive protection when needed," she said.
