But, there are a couple of hidden (and new) functions you've probably not explored just yet.

With the latest One UI 6 update, you can unlock a whole new level of features and functionality that will make your device smarter, faster, and more secure. One UI 6 is based on Android 14, the newest version of the operating system now available to Galaxy S23 series users in Malaysia, and will be rolled out to other Galaxy devices progressively.

Wanna unlock the full potential of your Samsung Galaxy device? Here are a few hidden features you probably never knew:

1. You can customise widgets according to how you use them

Whether you want to capture the perfect moment, stay updated on the weather, or access your favourite apps quickly, you can do it all with these new widgets:

- Custom camera widget: You can set different widgets to start in a specific shooting mode and save pictures into an album of your choice. You can also access the camera settings and filters from these widget. This saves time and allows you to quickly capture moments just the way you want to.

- Weather insights widget: This widget provides more information about your local weather conditions, such as the temperature, humidity, wind speed, and air quality. You can also see the forecast for severe weather events, such as thunderstorms, typhoons, or heat waves. And, the cool part is that it's animated!

2. You can add stickers, text, and audio in separate layers for better control, and save your video projects to resume editing later

One UI 6 also gives you quick access to effects and editing features for your photos and videos. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen while viewing a picture or video to go to the detailed view. From there, you can use the Photo Remaster, Object Eraser, or Portrait Effect features without needing any additional apps on your device.

For more advanced video editing, you can use the Samsung Studio app, which allows you to view your entire project as a timeline with multiple video clips. You can also add clips, stickers, subtitles, and other objects in separate layers and adjust their position and length. You don't have to rush your edits anymore, as you can save your projects and resume them later at your own pace.

3. You can easily create cool-looking collage trend photos or videos

Have you seen the latest collage trend among Gen Zs on social media? Now, you can do that too on your Galaxy device, which lets you create amazing collages with ease. Just go to your images, clip, save, and stick them on any background you like.

4. You don't really need to do anything to enable this, but you can enjoy peace of mind with the new Auto Blocker

Auto Block is a new feature that protects your phone from unwanted apps and messages. It will also check your phone regularly for any suspicious apps that you did not install or that look unfamiliar. Auto Blocker will also safely protect your phone from physical access by blocking commands from USB cables. This will prevent someone from installing software on your phone by connecting it to a computer or a charger.

Moreover, Auto Blocker will use Samsung message guard to block any messages that contain suspicious image files. These files may hide malicious codes that can activate when you open them. With Auto Blocker, you can use your phone without worrying about security, even if you are not very tech savvy.

5. You can store and access your cards, IDs, tickets, passes, keys, and coupons in the Samsung Wallet

Samsung Wallet is more than just a digital wallet. It also automatically syncs with your calendar and wallet app to notify you of your coupon due date and ticket schedule. You will never miss a deal or a flight with Samsung Wallet. Plus, you can share your boarding pass or ticket barcodes and QR codes with others easily. Whether you want to split the bill, send a gift, or invite a friend, Samsung Wallet makes it simple and convenient.

6. In case you didn't notice, there's a new design for your emojis and playlists, which adds more flair and fun to your communication and entertainment

One UI 6 brings a new look for emojis and playlists. For starters, the emojis have a more modern and colourful look, following the latest unicode standard. You can express yourself better with the updated emoji set, which includes more diverse and inclusive options. To access the emoji keyboard, just tap the emoji icon on the Samsung Keyboard app.

The playlist has a new visualiser that shows the waveform of the music playing in the background. You can see the rhythm and intensity of the song, as well as the progress and duration. The visualiser also changes colour according to the album art, creating a more immersive and dynamic experience.

Both these features will automatically be reflected once you've updated to One UI 6!

7. You can customise your font style and size with a whole, new font

The new font, called One UI Sans, is wider and more legible than the previous font, making it easier to read texts on your screen. You can also customise the font size and style to suit your preferences and needs. Whether you want a larger font for better visibility, or a different font style for a unique look, you can easily adjust them from your Settings.
