Shanghai Opens World's Largest Indoor Ski Resort That Snows All Year Round
It was recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest indoor ski centre in the world.
Experience a year-round winter getaway at L+Snow Resort in Shanghai, China
Crowned the largest indoor ski resort in the world by the Guinness Book of Records, this resort opened its doors in September and is packed with thrilling activities for snow enthusiasts of all levels.
This snowy paradise is massive.
Imagine a space as big as about 40 Axiata Arena stadiums — over 98,000 sq m.
The ski area boasts a vertical drop of nearly 60m, with three ski slopes ranging from beginner-friendly to an advanced 340m-long track for more daring skiers.
The resort maintains its icy interior at a chilly -10°C, thanks to 72 cooling machines and 33 snow-making machines. These machines continuously churn out fresh snow to ensure an average depth of 70cm across the entire park.
When you're not zipping down the slopes or playing in the snow, you can take a stroll through the Nordic-inspired town square, which incorporates dining, accommodation, entertainment, and shopping.
L+Snow Resort is divided into three main areas: skiing, snow play, and a separate water park
The expansive snow play area features over 20 fun snow-based activities like ice biking, fast snow sledding, and the Snowland train ride.
You can even take a stroll through an enchanting ice cave or ride the Snow Mountain Cable Car, which offers breathtaking views of the resort.
For those looking for an immersive winter experience, the resort also offers three ice and snow-themed hotels with nearly 1,000 rooms. Among these, 17 exclusive "ski-in, ski-out" suites allow you to ski directly to the ski slopes from your rooms!
While outside, the theme park continues the fun with water rides, a hotel, shops, and restaurants for when you need a break from the cold.
The Shanghai L+ Snow Indoor Skiing Theme Resort will offer weekday, peak day, and special peak day passes, along with complimentary equipment rentals
