After 23 years, AirAsia will resume jet operations at Subang Airport by offering flights to two domestic destinations: Kuching, Sarawak, and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The airline will continue its operations at its main hub at Terminal 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, providing travellers with additional connectivity and convenience due to its proximity to the city.

The low-cost airline will be operating 14 weekly flights weekly to both Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

AirAsia is offering a promotion with all-in one-way fares to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, starting from RM88 and RM99, respectively. The promotional fares come with a complimentary 15kg checked-in baggage allowance and are inclusive of airport taxes, MAVCOM fees, fuel surcharges, and other applicable fees.

You can book your flights on the AirAsia MOVE app or on the AirAsia website until this Sunday, 28 July.

The travel period for the promotions is between 30 August 2024 and 8 October 2025.

Here are the schedules for the flights to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu:

Firefly Airlines is offering daily return flights to Penang and Kota Kinabalu from 29 August 2024 and 6 August 2025

With 10kg checked baggage and complimentary onboard refreshments, all-in one-way flight fares to Penang and Kota Kinabalu cost RM129 and RM249, respectively.

Meanwhile, Batik Air announced it will reopen its route between Subang Airport and Penang International Airport

The airline will start with three weekly flights on 1 August before expanding to daily service from 15 August onwards.

In May, the carrier introduced revised flight fares for both domestic and ASEAN destinations. If you're travelling light, you can opt for the airline's 'zero check-in baggage' option at a lower price point.
