Ever wondered how cars are made? Sunway Lagoon's latest attraction lets you step into a miniature factory where you can assemble, customise, and take home your own tiny Mini Cooper.

Called the Sunway Tiny Experience Factory (STEF), the new attraction combines hands-on workshops, robotics, and STEM learning in an interactive, factory-inspired setting.

STEF recreates different stages of a vehicle production line, allowing visitors to experience either manual assembly or an automated manufacturing process before taking home a customised miniature car.

The experience begins with a short factory briefing before visitors choose between two workshop options: CKD or CBU

The Completely Knocked Down (CKD) Experience is the hands-on option, where you'll build a miniature Mini Cooper from individual parts.

You'll assemble the body, interior, and undercarriage yourself before choosing from three roof designs and adding a personalised laser-engraved licence plate.

If you'd rather see how modern manufacturing works, the Completely Built-Up (CBU) Experience takes you through an automated production line.

Across 10 interactive stations, you'll see how a miniature vehicle goes through processes like die casting, spray painting, injection moulding, robotic assembly, UV printing, and laser engraving before taking home the finished model.

Whichever experience you choose, you'll get to personalise your own Tiny (Mini Cooper) model

At the end of the workshop, you'll receive:

  • Your customised miniature vehicle
  • A personalised laser-engraved licence plate
  • A STEF Driving Licence
  • A certificate to commemorate the experience

While the attraction is designed to be fun, it's also meant to introduce visitors to the world of engineering, robotics, and manufacturing through hands-on activities

Instead of simply watching how products are made, guests get to take part in different stages of the production process and learn how technology and creativity come together to create a finished product.

According to Sunway Lagoon, the attraction aims to make STEM learning more engaging for children, families, students, hobbyists, and collectors alike.
