For decades, The Ship in Bukit Bintang has been one of KL's old-school staple restaurants that quietly became part of the city's story

Since 1991, the restaurant has hosted birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and spontaneous "just because" dinners in KL.
But after 35 years, it's officially time to say goodbye… at least to this location.
The restaurant recently announced that it will be relocating, as its tenancy at Bukit Bintang comes to an end.
While details of the new spot haven't been revealed yet, they've confirmed that this isn't the end, just a move
Its last day of operations at this space will be 19 April.
So if you've been meaning to go back for the nostalgia, this might be your last chance to experience it in its original space.
It's not just KL either. The Ship also recently shared that its Jalan Sri Bahari outlet in Penang will be relocating, with its last day set for 30 April.
"Details of what lies ahead will be shared in due course… until then, we look forward to welcoming you at Jalan Sri Bahari for the remaining time," they wrote.
But don't worry, The Ship isn't disappearing entirely.
You can still drop by their other outlets around KL, PJ, and Penang, including Pertama Complex, Damansara Uptown, and Batu Ferringhi, while they work on their next chapter.
For now, it's less of a goodbye and more of a "see you again soon".
