RIMOWA and Faber-Castell have joined forces on the limited-edition RIMOWA x Faber-Castell Artist Case, a silver aluminium case designed to house an entire collection of drawing essentials
And yes, it is priced at RM13,600 in Malaysia.
Crafted at RIMOWA's historic factory in Cologne, the case is made from the brand's signature anodised aluminium and comes with a leather handle inspired by RIMOWA's Classic collection.
Inside, you'll find a rather serious setup for anyone who likes to put pencil to paper
The case comes with 120 Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils, which use oil-based cores and highly pigmented colours, alongside co-branded 2B graphite pencils inspired by RIMOWA's grooved design.
There's also a RIMOWA-branded platinum-plated sharpener and eraser.
The drawing tools are arranged across a specially designed two-level tray, which opens up to display the collection while keeping everything organised
Beyond its very fancy pencil storage, the case is designed to be something artists can actually take with them.
Its anodised aluminium exterior is intended to develop a patina over time, meaning the case will gradually pick up signs of its owner's travels and use.
The collaboration brings together RIMOWA, which was founded in Cologne in 1898, and Faber-Castell, the German writing and drawing instrument brand founded in 1761.

In Malaysia, it is priced at RM13,600 and is exclusively available at the RIMOWA boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Globally, the case became available from 17 September at RIMOWA stores and online, as well as selected Faber-Castell stores and online stores in Europe.
