This Top Esports Racing Tournament Is Your Chance To Represent Malaysia On The World Stage

For years, the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup has been one of the most exhilarating virtual racing events in Malaysia

Since 2018, the event has brought together thousands of competitors from around the country to prove their mettle in a virtual racing tournament with tremendous stakes.

This June and July, the tournament is taking place again, boasting a cash prize pool of RM120,500 and a chance for top performers to advance to the global stage to compete against some of the world's best sim racers.

Registrations for the qualifiers will run until 28 June, with qualifying happening from 22 to 30 June.

Based on time-attack runs on the PlayStation-exclusive title Gran Turismo 7, the best performers from these qualifiers will be selected to compete in the final stages, with the semi-finals and grand finals to be held at Sunway University in front of a rip-roaring crowd.

Ultimately, the very best racers will get to showcase their racing prowess and represent Malaysia on the international stage

The winner of the grand final will be crowned Malaysia's fastest sim racer, and will be given a shot at achieving national pride by competing in the Regional Qualifier (GT Cup Asia) against some of Asia's best to secure a spot at the Global Finals.

If getting behind the wheel isn't your thing, you can still have tonnes of racing fun during the grand finals

The grand finals, which will be held at Sunway University from 27 to 28 July, will be the pinnacle of the tournament with plenty to see and do for racing fans and newbies alike.

For example, you can still feel like a professional esports racer by trying out racing simulators that will let you test your skills on high-speed virtual racetracks.

During the event, you'll even stand a chance to win or purchase premium Tomica car models and Toyota GR merchandise.

And if you can't be there physically, you can still get caught up in the hype of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup remotely as Toyota Malaysia will be streaming all the final stages live on its social media channels.
