M'sians Are Selling The Free Tote Bags From Apple The Exchange TRX For Up To RM10,000
The free tote bags were packed inside a sleek flat square box with a 3D Apple logo in the style of the store's "tudung saji" roof design.
Malaysia's first Apple store opened on Saturday, 22 June, with much fanfare, where over a thousand people lined up to be the first to enter the beautiful store at The Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Kuala Lumpur
Those who lined up received a gift that included a commemorative tote bag from the Apple store. However, the same Apple tote bags have now appeared on online selling platforms such as Carousell.
A quick check by SAYS showed that the tote bags have been listed as a "limited edition" item for sale between RM250 to RM10,000 each
The free Apple tote bags are now a sought-after collector's item among Apple fans, with some of the listings being under the "luxury" category on the consumer marketplace platform.
The New Straits Times reported that while some sellers are open to negotiation, others are refusing to budge on their prices. There are also sellers who said they would sell the tote bag to the highest bidder.

According to SoyaCincau, the tote bag is a white cloth bag with Apple Malaysia's "JOM" theme printed vertically. On the back, it has the Apple logo with Apple The Exchange TRX printed in gold.
Elsewhere on X, formerly Twitter, netizens made fun of the sellers, saying it now makes sense why Apple The Exchange TRX had such long queues.
Now, would you pay RM10,000 for this tote bag the sellers received for free?
