Singapore is set to host the world premiere of 'The Story of Studio Ghibli', offering fans of the Japanese studio a chance to experience the animated films up close
The exhibition is set to open at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore on 18 December 2026 and will run until 4 July 2027.
Spanning nearly 3,500 sq m, the massive showcase invites visitors to explore 12 life-sized recreated sets from the legendary animation house.

Fans can stand next to Totoro while waiting for the Catbus, marvel at an 8m-tall recreation of the iconic bathhouse from Spirited Away, or come face-to-face with the majestic Ohmu from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
The walk-through exhibition will go beyond mere artwork, aiming to connect audiences with themes of environmental stewardship, courage, and hope.
It will feature multimedia installations designed to place attendees right in the heart of familiar movie scenes.
"The Story of Studio Ghibli is not simply an exhibition to be viewed. It is an experience to be felt," said M Experience chief executive officer Sean Lim.
Lim added that visitors are invited to step into the stories themselves to connect with the imagination that resonates across generations.
