If you thought using a lock on your luggage bag would keep your items safer, sorry to break it to you, it's pretty much useless

A recent TikTok video posted by @raudshazali shows that anyone can open a locked luggage bag, without leaving any trace that it was broken into.

Using just the pointy bit of a cheap ballpoint pen, a guy shows that you can split open the luggage bag's zipper — even if the lock is in place

You can then reseal the bag with the zipper, making it look like it was never opened to begin with.

Since the video went viral, some people have been left completely baffled by how easy it is to steal items from locked luggages, while others advised to get bags with double coil zippers instead of single coil zippers

With tightened tiny gaps of zipper teeth, a double-coil zipper doubles the chain's resistance to any puncture, making it a lot more difficult to break into with a sharp object or pen.
