If you grew up in an Asian household, you probably are familiar with how most parents or elders in the family have certain opinions about the decisions you make regarding your future career choices

We're familiar with how many parents tend to place priority on things like salary and job stability. And there's also that stereotype of how Asian parents force their kids to pursue "prestigious" careers like becoming doctors, engineers, lawyers, or accountants.

But thankfully, times have changed now, and parents are much more accommodating when it comes to their child's career choices or what they choose to study.

That's why we got Asian parents Vincent and Helen to share their thoughts on their respective children's unconventional career choices. But what they didn't know was that their kids were actually secretly listening in... jeng jeng jeng!

Watch the full video here and prepare to shed some tears:

Like most parents who worry about their child's future, Vincent began by sharing his fears when his son, Daniel, told him that he was interested in pursuing product photography for a living

Vincent: "I was initially, really very worried about what the choice that he has made because he was an economic graduate."

Helen was also afraid of the job her daughter, Khristabelle, chose, which was making doughnuts. Yet, she still gave the green light and was supportive. Awww! <3

Helen: "Of course, I worry about her. I pray day and night, okay, for her success. No mother wants to see their children down."

Hearing his dad talk about how proud he was of Daniel's hard work and perseverance, Daniel started to get a little emotional behind the camera

Vincent: "He has made a lot of sacrifice during that time to really learn about photography."

When it was revealed that their children were listening to them all this while, Vincent and Helen were full of smiles :D

Vincent: "You like the answer?"

Daniel: "How to like an answer? Hahaha."

To wrap things up, Khristabelle shared that her confidence and bravery to take risks came from her mum, who instilled the teaching, "For as long as you live, you still fight!"

Khristabelle: "So, I've never... I've never doubt myself. Thanks, Mummy!"
