Zoo Negara has opened a brand-new exhibit dedicated to Asian small-clawed otters, the smallest otter species in the world
The new otter home is located right in front of the capybara exhibit, so you can say hello to the capybaras and their tiny new neighbours in one trip.
There are currently eight Asian small-clawed otters at the exhibit, and they're already bringing plenty of playful energy to their new home.
Asian small-clawed otters are known for being highly social and can live in family groups of up to 15
They love spending time together, whether that's chasing each other around, having little wrestling matches, or sliding down muddy banks.
And while all that playing looks adorable, it's actually important for them too. These activities help the otters develop their hunting and social skills.
The species is also known for its tiny claws, which are relatively short and don't extend beyond their digits. Their sensitive paws help them find and handle food.
With eight of these tiny otters now calling the new exhibit home, visitors have even more reason to make a stop at Zoo Negara
And if you're lucky, you might catch them in the middle of one of their many play sessions.
Just try not to leave without falling a little bit in love with them.
