Built on the MADANI framework

The 2027 Budget follows the three main goals of the MADANI Economy: growing the economy, improving the standard of living for everyone, and ensuring good governance . With the theme "Malaysia MADANI: Menggapai di Langit, Mengakar di Bumi," the government aims to push for high-value development while making sure no one is left behind .

Helping with the cost of living

A big part of this budget is about helping you manage your expenses. The government plans to continue targeted aid like the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and BUDI MADANI programmes . They are also focusing on better social safety nets for gig workers and preparing for the fact that Malaysia will become an ageing nation by 2030 .

Investing in tech and the future

The government isn't just looking at today; they are also investing in the future. This includes big moves in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries . They are also working on digitising the public sector through GovTech and supporting local businesses through the "Made by Malaysia" initiative .
