How to Report Illegal Vape Sales to Minors Anonymously

If you have ever felt frustrated by someone smoking or vaping in a prohibited area, you are not alone. Confronting strangers can be risky, but a digital platform called JomLapor now offers a safe, anonymous way to help authorities take action .

A safer way to report offences

Developed by the Health Ministry alongside the National Cancer Society Malaysia and other NGOs, JomLapor was created to empower the public. It allows you to submit reports using photo evidence, ensuring you do not have to engage in potentially heated confrontations with aggressive individuals .

How to use the JomLapor platform

Reporting is straightforward and works on both computers and smartphones. Simply visit the JomLapor website and click 'Jom Lapor Sekarang'. From there, you can select the type of violation from a dropdown menu, upload up to three photos as evidence, and provide the location and a brief description of the incident before submitting it for review .

What you can report

The platform covers a wide range of violations beyond just smoking in no-smoking zones. You can report the sale of cigarettes or vapes to minors, the use of these products by minors, and the sale of smoking products disguised as toys. Additionally, the platform accepts reports on illegal sales in universities or online, as well as advertisements and sponsorships that violate regulations .

By using this digital tool, you are helping the authorities maintain public health standards without putting yourself in harm's way. Whether it is outdated no-smoking signs or products sold below the regulated price of RM12, your report contributes to a safer environment for everyone .
