An 18-year-old was found dead in a bush in Sungai Petani, Kedah, on 8 October after he was allegedly held captive and tortured for two days before being killed
According to the New Straits Times, Kedah police chief Datuk Adzli Abu Shah said the victim's body was found near Jalan Harvard at 8.05am last Thursday.
A post-mortem found that the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head.
"Investigations also found that the incident arose from the main suspect's anger after residents complained that the victim had stolen a motorcycle," said Adzli.
Fourteen individuals aged between 14 and 24 have been arrested, including two minors.
One of the suspects has a criminal record involving a drug-related offence.
Police have also seized 14 mobile phones, a silver Honda City, a pair of scissors, and an identity card believed to belong to the victim.

He added that the suspects were believed to have taken matters into their own hands by apprehending the victim in Pendang last Monday, 5 October.
They then allegedly took the victim to a house in Gurun, where he was held for two days.
"During those two days, the victim was beaten and tortured, and his hair was cut. He was eventually found dead on the night of 7 October.
"They then dumped his body by the roadside the following day, before members of the public discovered the body at 8am," Adzli said.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
If convicted, the suspects could face the death penalty or imprisonment for between 30 and 40 years, along with at least 12 strokes of the cane.
