A 5-year-old girl died while two others, including her father, were injured in a six-vehicle crash along Jalan Kuching on Saturday afternoon, 10 October
According to FMT, Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief Zamzuri Isa said the crash occurred at about 3.44pm when a BYD Seal rammed into a motorcycle and the rear of a Perodua Bezza in slow-moving traffic.
A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media, showing the BYD crashing into the motorcycle and the Bezza. The impact caused the Bezza to collide with three other vehicles before the BYD driver fled.
The 5-year-old girl, who was seated in the back of the Bezza, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Zamzuri.
Her 30-year-old father, who was driving the Bezza, sustained injuries to his right hand, while the 33-year-old motorcyclist suffered head injuries. Both were taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for treatment.
The drivers of the other three vehicles were not injured.

Zamzuri said the 24-year-old BYD driver was later located at a private hospital in Damansara, where he was receiving treatment
"He is still being monitored by investigating officers and further investigations are ongoing," said the police chief.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
