Six Sarawakian entrepreneurs have completed a six-month business growth programme, with their companies recording expansion, securing new opportunities, and making plans to enter regional markets
The SCALE Sarawak Cohort 3 programme was jointly organised by Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) and Endeavor Malaysia to help local entrepreneurs grow their businesses through mentorship, workshops, and industry networking.
Over six months, participants received guidance from 17 mentors through six group mentoring sessions, seven workshops, and 20 one-to-one virtual mentoring sessions.
The sessions focused on helping entrepreneurs address business challenges, refine strategies, and identify opportunities for growth.

Among the businesses that have made progress is Let'z Play Therapy, which recently opened its third branch to bring early intervention services closer to more families
Its founder, Erdy Izwan, said the programme and guidance from Endeavor and TEGAS helped him grow as an entrepreneur and leader.
"They have challenged me to communicate with greater confidence, approach negotiations more strategically, strengthen my decision-making, and develop a clearer direction for the business," he said.
He added that the centre hopes to make quality early intervention services more accessible to families from different income backgrounds, particularly those in underserved communities.

Meanwhile, Satok Bridge Digital, which develops artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT)-powered technology to help mitigate wildlife conflicts and track wildlife, is progressing with its regional expansion plans
The company has launched proof-of-concept projects with international conservation partners across Southeast Asia and beyond.
However, wider implementation will depend on the successful validation of these projects.
Its co-founder and CEO, Tham Tat Wai, said the SCALE programme gave him valuable insights into building and sustaining a business for long-term growth.
He added that learning from experienced entrepreneurs and corporate leaders gave him and the other participants new perspectives on how to strengthen and sustain their businesses in the long run.

The programme concluded with a two-day graduation event in Kuching, which included mentoring sessions and a final Business Panel Review
Besides Erdy and Tham, the other four participants who completed the programme were Brian Tan (FutureLabs), Jason Wong (Zuno Carbon), Domonics Matthew (Stratetics Experts), and Max Tai (Maxeon Technologies).
During the review, participants presented their progress against milestones set at the start of the six-month programme and outlined their priorities for the next stage of growth.

The panel included Media Prima Group managing director Datuk Rafiq Razali, Tanah Makmur Bhd group CEO Datuk Shahrul Nizam, Artem Ventures partner Tunku Omar, Borong founder emeritus and adviser Lennise Ng, and CloudJoi co-founder and COO Kevin Teh.
Rafiq, who also served as an Endeavor mentor, said the entrepreneurs had shown a willingness to learn and take feedback throughout the programme.
He said their next challenge was to build businesses that could operate beyond their direct involvement and expand across Malaysia and international markets.
TEGAS chairman Datuk Len Talif Salleh said its collaboration with Endeavor Malaysia reflects its continued commitment to strengthening Sarawak's entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting the state's economic transformation.
