8 M'sians Have Died From COVID-19 As Dr Noor Hisham Warns Of A Rise In New Cases Next Week
Of the eighth deaths, five were reported on Saturday.

At least eight Malaysians have died from the coronavirus disease
As of Saturday, 21 March, a total of 1,183 cases were reported in the country, out of which six deaths have been reported, according to Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Of the eight deaths, five were reported today.
A 50-year-old man who had attended the four-day tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling Jamek Mosque in Kuala Lumpur was the fourth person to die today. He was warded in Melaka on 12 March.
A 79-year-old mother and her 40-year-old daughter are the fifth and sixth person to die in Sarawak.
A 57-year-old Malaysian citizen with a history of travel to Vietnam and contact with a COVID-19 positive case from the tabligh cluster became the seventh person to die.
A 69-year-old Malaysian citizen from the tabligh cluster became the eighth person to die. She was admitted to Tumpat Hospital on 16 March. She was pronounced dead on 21 March.
In addition to that, a total of 153 new cases were recorded today
This marks the seventh consecutive day of three-digit increase in COVID-19 cases, bringing the total tally to 1,183. On 20 March, a total of 130 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the country.
27 patients made a full recovery today, bring the total number of the recovered patient to 114.
Of the 153 new cases, 90 are linked to the cluster cases from the tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling Jamek Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The religious gathering was attended by over 14,500 Malaysians.
Meanwhile, during a press conference in Putrajaya today, the Health director-general warned of a rise in new cases next week
He urged the remaining tabligh members to come for screening.
