A 15-Year-Old Stabbed Her Abusive Father To Death After An Argument Over Schoolwork

Her father would often attack her after she failed to live up to his expectations.

A teenage girl allegedly stabbed her 44-year-old father during a heated argument over schoolwork. She was trying to stop him from beating her mother, who had tried to intervene their argument.

According to South China Morning Post (SCMP), the incident happened in at their home in Dongkou country in Hunan province.

The 15-year-old girl reportedly "lost control of her emotions" after her father beat her and her mother, during a dispute over her studies on Sunday.

She grabbed a knife from the living room and tried to stop her father from hitting her mother, whom he was pressing down on the bed.

According to the statement given by the girl, she first struck her father's head with the knife and as the pair struggled, she later struck his chest.

After stabbing her father, the 15-year-old called an ambulance and informed the police. Her father died later in hospital.

Reportedly, the girl was being abused by her father as she failed to live up to his high exceptions on her academic performance. The father was a maths teacher.

According to her relatives, while the girl studied hard, her father was not satisfied with her academic performance and would attack her, reported SCMP.

At the time of the incident, her grandmother and her baby brother were at home. Meanwhile, the girl has been detained by police.
