He had a history of travel to Indonesia in early March.
Malaysia's COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 24
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that an additional case of COVID-19 related death has been reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC).
"This latest report brings the cumulative number of deaths in Malaysia to 24 so far," he said.
The victim, a 35-year-old Malaysian, was identified as Case 1056
According to the Health D-G, the person had a history of travel to Indonesia in early March.
"He started showing symptoms five days before being admitted to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) on 18 March. The results of the COVID-19 validation test came back positive on 20 March," he said.
The patient's health deteriorated day by day and he died at 9.30pm, 26 March.
