A 56-Year-Old Barber Shop Worker Was Beaten To Death By 3 People In Ipoh

He died at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital as he was receiving treatment.

On Saturday, 8 June, a 56-year-old Indian national was rushed to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by at least three individuals at a barber shop in Pekan Razaki, Ipoh

The victim, who worked at the barber shop where he was assaulted, died at the Hospital at 2.15am Sunday, 9 June, while he was receiving treatment.

According to NST Online, the barbershop worker suffered severe injuries to his torso.

The victim died due to injuries suffered from the alleged assault

According to Ipoh Deputy Chief of Police, Superintendent Mazuki Mat, his department received a report from the hospital at 2.35am informing them of the victim's death.

NST Online reported him saying that the initial investigations showed that the victim was brought to the hospital by a friend before he was pronounced dead.

Three men, aged 20 to 40, have been arrested so far

"Further investigations conducted by the Forensics Department at the crime scene found 15 blood spots on the shop's wall, sofa and rest area, which were wiped clean," he was quoted as saying, adding that the men were arrested to facilitate investigations.

While police were unable to obtain any footage of the incident as the closed-circuit television camera at the shop was inoperable, they have confiscated a shirt and a pair of shoes belonging to one of the suspects who were arrested.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
