A Group Of 5 Men Threw Durians At A 53-Year-Old During A Street Fight In Bangi
Police are now looking for a suspect named 'Joe' and four of his friends.
A 53-year-old man was reportedly attacked and had durians thrown at him during a fight in Bandar Baru Bangi on Saturday, 20 June
According to Harian Metro, the incident occurred at around 1pm in the afternoon at the victim's durian stall near Surau Al-Amin in Section 8.
Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan said the victim, a durian seller, lodged the report around 6pm on the day of the incident.
According to the victim, he was attacked by a group of five men, including someone he knew by the name of 'Joe'
"The suspects are said to have hit and threw [sic] durian fruits at the victim and damaged the man's business site," said Mohd Zaid in a statement on Sunday, 21 June, as quoted by New Straits Times.
The police chief added that initial investigations found that the men were fighting over the business sites where they usually set up their stalls.
Police are now looking for the five assailants who are in their 40s and 50s
The case is being investigated under Section 323, 506, and 427 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt, intimidation, and causing mischief and damage.
