A Man In His 50s Slashes His 82-Year-Old Mother And Brother With Parang In KL
A labourer ran amok and slashed his 82-year-old mother and brother with a parang at their home in Taman Bukit Anggerik.
A man, in his 50s, ran amok and slashed his 82-year-old mother and brother, who is also in his 50s, with a parang at their home in Taman Bukit Anggerik in Kuala Lumpur.
Cheras OCPD Senior Asst Comm Mohan Singh said police were investigating the cause of the incident. He added that the suspect was believed to be under the influence of drugs.

The police, he said, first received a call about a fire and an explosion at the home yesterday. “Not long after that, we received information that a man was attacking the family,” he said when contacted yesterday.
veooz.comSAC Mohan said police arrived at the scene only to find the man had slashed his mother and brother. The man then locked himself in one of the rooms.
He added that police managed to arrest the suspect while the two victims were sent to the University Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital. They are in stable condition.

When met at HUKM, the relative said the suspect was once married and that he had two sons living in the same house. The relative said the suspect only took on odd jobs as a labourer.
stomp.com.sgThe man allegedly has a history of violence. He beat his sisters, ex-wife and children in the past, according to the brother who was slashed on his head and hands.
“As far as we know, he has no mental problem but he has a temper,” he said. “He gets angry very easily.” The victim said he realised that something was wrong with his brother several days before the incident.
thestar.com.my“He would punch the wall, throw things and make noises,” he claimed at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM). The victim said he even went to a Chinese temple to pray and seek guidance for his brother.

“Suddenly, my brother came down with a parang and attacked me,” he said, adding that his mother was also slashed when she tried to stop the attack. The victim said he and his mother locked the gate and quickly left the house, adding that he then informed a neighbour who called the police.
