PDRM Officer Arrested For Allegedly Molesting 2 Female Colleagues At Muar Police Post
The suspect is a deputy district police chief with the rank of sergeant.
A police sergeant has been arrested for allegedly molesting two female subordinates on three separate occasions in Muar, Johor
The 55-year-old officer allegedly committed the sexual offences at a mobile police post at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (HPSF), reported Malay Mail.
The suspect and the two victims had been assigned to the hospital to monitor the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) during the incidents.
"The alleged offences by the suspect occurred on 6, 7, and 8 May where all three were in security detail duties at the HPSF hospital grounds," a source told Malay Mail.
The victims are Police Volunteer Reserve personnel, aged 27 and 46 respectively
According to Harian Metro, the suspect is also deputy district police chief in Muar.
Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay confirmed the arrest, adding that the case is currently being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
If convicted, the suspect could face up to 10 years' jail, a fine, whipping, or with any two of such punishments.
"I will have no tolerance in these cases, anybody who takes advantage towards female members or officers will be given strict action," the state police chief said at a press conference yesterday, 11 May.
