Robber holding the girl hostage surrenders to police
According to witnesses on the ground, the robber has surrendered to the police.
The girl was identified by her first name as Jessica. She is believed to be safe but has been sent to a hospital for treatment.
In Kota Kinabalu's Jalan Kolam area, a house robbery situation has escalated into a hostage crisis with a girl being held at knifepoint by a man who, according to social media posts by witnesses, was seen dragging the girl away

According to Astro AWANI, police are at the site and trying to negotiate to bring the situation under control
