Air Selangor: Water Supply In Klang Valley To Be Fully Restored By Friday

The water treatment plant in Sungai Semenyih has resumed operations today, 6 October.

In regards to the recent water cuts, Air Selangor has announced that water supply in the Klang Valley will be fully restored by 9 October

During a press conference, chief executive officer Suhaimi Kamaralzaman said that the water supply will be fully restored in three stages according to groups, starting from 6pm tomorrow.

"By midnight tonight, users will start to see water trickling in," he said.

Suhaimi noted that the public can access updates and see the water restoration schedule on the Air Selangor website, mobile application, as well as social media accounts.

The Star reported that as of yesterday, authorities were still probing the source of pollution which disrupted the operations of the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant.

They are currently investigating whether the contamination originated from Sg Batang Benar in Negeri Sembilan.

In total, 309,687 Air Selangor account users in the Klang Valley were affected by the water cuts.
