About a month ago, airasia food and airasia xpress delivery riders were offered a full-time employment programme

The full-time employement programme seeks to enhance airasia ride's existing independent programme by giving drivers a chance to earn better income, more growth opportunities, and better benefits, as stated by airasia.

As of 13 September, the airasia Super App is extending the same courtesy to their e-hailing arm, airasia ride.

Effective 1 October, new drivers and qualified drivers attached to existing programmes will be able to apply for the full-time drivers' programme

This initiative allows riders to be eligible for fuel benefits, as well as a chance to receive a monthly base income of up to RM3,500, with an opportunity to earn up to RM8,000 through additional incentives.

They will also qualify for employee benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, medical coverage for their spouse and children, annual leave, and travel benefits.

Full-time drivers will also be given priority airport pickups and drop-offs

This will enable drivers to earn more as demand for travel continues to increase across the region, according to the company's statement.

It added that the e-hailing arm, which was only established in August 2021, has already recruited a fleet of over 53,000 registered drivers on its platform with two million rides completed.

airasia's website states that full-time drivers can earn between RM6,000 and RM7,000 if they drive at least eight hours for 30 consecutive days

Of course, this depends on contributing factors, and airasia takes up to 15% of commission from their earnings.
