Shooting Outside A Condo In Setapak Leaves A Palestinian Uni Lecturer Dead

Earlier today, 21 April, a private university professor was gunned down by two assailants on a motorcycle near his condominium

The murder took place at 6am in the morning at Jalan Gombak in Setapak when the victim was walking to a nearby surau (mosque) to perform his Subuh prayer.

According to reports, the uni lecturer was from Palestine.

The 35-year-old, who was also an imam, was approached by two men on a motorcycle, one of whom then opened fire at him, reported NST Online.

The assailants fired 10 shots at the lecturer

"He was walking near the Idaman Puteri Condominium when two men fired about 10 shots at him. He died on the spot," Kuala Lumpur police chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim was quoted as saying by The Star Online.

Mazlan added that initial inspections found four bullet wounds on the victim's body and two slugs were recovered from the scene, according to theSundaily.

The lecturer was married and had been living at the condominium for some time. No other details about him or the private uni he taught at were revealed. The shooting is under investigation.
