Police Hunting For Man Who Molested 19-Year-Old Bank Staff At Masjid Jamek LRT Station
A well-built bespectacled man in his 20s or 30s is being sought in connection with the incident.

Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) Security unit has caught a young male suspect believed to have molested a female commuter at the Masjid Jamek LRT station, in Kuala Lumpur.
Prasarana security head, Zainal Rashid Adnan said the suspect, who is in his mid-20s and identified through the close circuit TV (CCTV) monitors at the LRT stations and the Operation Control Centre in Subang, was caught on Wednesday as he was entering the KL Sentral LRT Station.

Zainal added the suspect was identified through monitoring close circuit TV (CCTV) monitors at the LRT stations and the Operation Control Centre in Subang. He said in a statement on Sunday that the suspect was caught as he was entering the KL Sentral LRT Station after being spotted at 9.09am on Wednesday.
Zainal said the suspect, who is in his 20’s was arrested and handed over to the police at the Jalan Travers Police Station.
“Prasarana views this incident and other criminal acts very seriously. We hope this will be a reminder to all to not act indecently on board all our trains, buses and at our stations,” said Zainal. He said all Prasarana stations, trains and buses were equipped with CCTV systems.
He advised the commuters to be vigilant at all times when they are in public places, adding that there were CCTVs monitoring the facilities, on trains and in buses.
"I would also like to strongly advise our commuters to approach our security personnel when they encountered improper and unlawful acts by other fellow commuters and alert us of any suspicious incidents and individuals.
"Even if you need our security personnel to escort you to parking lots at night, we will assist you to our level best. Feel free to approach our counters and our security personnel for any assistance," he said.

In an incident that occurred at 9pm on Wednesday, 15 July, a well-built man believed to be in his 20's or 30's allegedly fondled the breast of a 19-year-old bank officer at the Masjid Jamek LRT station
According to City CID Chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Ahmad, the victim was at the LRT station when a man fondled her right breast. After she screamed the suspect escaped," he told The Star Online on Saturday, 19 July
He said a similar incident occurred at the Sg Buloh KTM Komuter station recently.
"Based on the latest victims statement, the man was believed to be in his 20's or 30's, had black hair, wore spectacles and was well built. We are working with the victim to get a photofit of the suspect," he said adding that police were investigating the case for use of criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.
He urged people to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings
