Two co-workers died in a road accident on Jalan Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur after returning from their company dinner on Sunday, 17 May
According to Bernama, Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) chief Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the 29-year-old male victim was driving a Honda City hatchback with a 23-year-old female colleague in the front passenger seat.
He said the victims were believed to have been on their way back to Ampang after attending a dinner event organised by an international banking company.
"Preliminary investigations found that while navigating a bend at the scene, the driver is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before skidding and crashing into a pillar on the left side of the road, causing the car to catch fire," said Mohd Zamzuri.
The Cheras fire and rescue station rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and extricated the victims from the vehicle.

They were confirmed dead by medical officers, with the driver suffering severe burns and the passenger sustaining serious head injuries
The case is currently being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless driving, and efforts are underway to obtain CCTV footage from the scene.
Members of the public or witnesses with information are urged to come forward to assist investigations by contacting the Tun H S Lee Traffic Police Station at +603-2071 9999 or any nearby police station.
