Meet Muhammad Danish Maarif

He is 11 years old and is battling a form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma.

Danish loves Lego and his biggest wish is to visit Legoland Malaysia

He, however, cannot visit his dream toy park in Johor Baru.

Doctors have strongly advised against letting him travel as his cancer had spread everywhere inside his body. There is nothing more the doctors can do for Danish. His chemotherapy was stopped and he was allowed to go home to rest, reported The Star.

A few days back, after a few concerned Malaysians came to know about Danish's wish, they decided to make his wish come true

Led by Wan Shahriza Wan Ab Rahman, Mary Anne, Maz, Jennifer, and Kopi Soh, they decided that if Danish cannot go to Legoland, they would bring Legoland to his home.

And, through their joint effort, they made his wish come true

They turned up at his place in Kuala Selangor on Wednesday, 28 September, with toys contributed by Lego Malaysia and Legoland Malaysia Resort.

They turned his room into a miniature Lego wonderland, filling it with Lego-styled life-size figures of Darth Vader and Stormtroopers among others.

In return, Danish rewarded their efforts with a big smile

And it was all they needed as his smile touched their hearts.

His smile is no ordinary thing, given how much in pain Danish is after having one of his legs amputated, one of his lungs removed, and a part of his other lung scrapped.

His mother, meanwhile, spoke about his love for Lego and how she never expected to see her son's wish coming true in such manner

Lego has always been his passion, and we bought him what we could afford. But ever since he became sick, he kept asking for Lego to help him pass the time and I would go out to find Lego for him. He likes cars, lorries but he's happy as long as he gets Lego. In the past, he used to repair his remote-controlled cars when they were spoiled. He is really creative. He is a very good boy, and he tries his best to not place demands on me. I never expected to see that his request would lead to this, and I am very thankful. We never thought that people would do this for him. He has been smiling, a sign that he is very happy," Suhaida Mohamad was quoted as saying.
