#Budget2024: Govt To Spend RM20 Million To Repair Damaged Drains To Prevent Floods

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim proposed that the government will be spending RM20 million to repair damaged drainage system nationwide to prevent floods

Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said that while tabling the Supply Bill 2024 at the parliament today, 13 October.

Additionally, to prevent a repeat of the Batang Kali landslide tragedy that happened in December last year, the government will be allocating RM563 million to strengthen the stability of slopes nationwide.

Anwar said efforts will be focused on monitoring, preventing, and reporting danger at 2,000 high-risk slope areas.
