#Budget2025: Malaysia Receives RM329.5B In Investment, Highest Achievement Ever Recorded
The finance minister said the ringgit has strengthened 14.4% against the US dollar in the third quarter of 2024.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Malaysia has received a total of RM329.5 billion in investment, marking the highest record ever
"For the first half of 2024, we secured approvals totaling RM160 billion, an increase from RM135.6 billion," said Anwar, who is also the finance minister, while tabling the Supply Bill 2025.
Anwar said the ringgit is recognised as one of the best-performing currencies in the world, having strengthened 14.4% against the US dollar in the third quarter of 2024.
He said this is the country's best achievement since 1973.
