Bus Crash at Elite Expressway: Driver Killed, 17 Injured
An express bus driver was killed and 17 of his passengers were injured in an accident at KM21.1 of the Elite Expressway, near Putrajaya (north bound).

An express bus driver was killed and 18 of his passengers were injured, including two with serious injuries, in an accident at KM21.1 of the Elite Expressway, near Putrajaya (north bound), early today.

Kuala Langat district police chief Supt Nordin Manan said the crash occurred about 2am when the bus driver, Ibrahim Ahmad lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid, before crashing into the road divider and a signboard.
Ibrahim Ahmad sustained abdominal injuries and broken limbs and died at Serdang Hospital several hours after the accident.

Image via thesundaily.myThe sole foreigner among the passengers, Ronald Morris, an American, and a local man Loh Ah Yuen, 52, who suffered serious head injuries, were warded at the same hospital. Both are reported to be in stable condition.
The accident adds to a worrying number of accidents involving public buses this year
Kuala Langat police chief Supt Nordin said the cause of the accident is being investigated but initial findings showed that the bus driver had lost control of the bus before crashing.
