Unofficial reports say the CCTV footage was taken from a hospital elevator
The video was uploaded on Facebook by a man claiming to be the woman’s brother. The CCTV footage was said to have been obtained from the hospital authorities.

According to the man who uploaded the video, police refused to take action
According to Mohd Yunus, his sister lodged a police report at Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam in Penang, however said that police refused to take action as there were no visible injuries and that it was a domestic dispute.
