Chinese Tourists Arrested For Peeing In One Of The Oldest Gardens In The World

China just can't seem to get a break from gracing the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

On Saturday, 29 October, two Chinese tourists were arrested by Sydney police for pissing in the city's Royal Botanic Garden.

The Royal Botanic Garden is considered as the oldest scientific institution in Australia and one of the most important historic botanical institutions in the world.

The duo were caught with their zippers down by police on patrol in the garden grounds

According to Shanghaiist, pictures of the tourists went viral on the popular messaging app WeChat.The image above shows them being given a lecture by the apprehending officers.

The men, aged 66 and 41, tried to run away from the police when they were spotted. The police chased the misbehaving visitors and pinned them down on the ground before handcuffing them.

According to witnesses, the incident was such a shame since the public bathroom was literally a few steps away from the garden.

The older man who got into a scuffle with police was charged with resisting arrest and offensive behavior. He will be set to appear in court next month. The younger man was given a stern warning.

Lesson to be learned here - never, EVER pee in public. Toilets are put in place for a reason.
