A Malaysian woman has been arrested in India after Delhi Customs (Airport & General) officers allegedly found cannabis worth about RM2.25 million (INR5.25 crore) in her luggage after she arrived from Kuala Lumpur
In a post on X, Delhi Customs said the Malaysian woman was intercepted at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport on 4 September after being selected for profile-based screening.
She had arrived from Kuala Lumpur on Batik Air flight OD-205.
"Based on profiling, Customs officers intercepted a Malaysian passenger arriving from Kuala Lumpur (Flight OD-205) at Terminal 3," read the post on X.
She was then diverted to the Green Channel for further inspection, where officers examined her trolley bag.

The search reportedly uncovered 30 polythene pouches containing suspected ganja, or cannabis
The substance had a net weight of 15,015.5g, just over 15kg.
She was arrested under Section 43(B) of India's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
The suspected cannabis was seized under Section 43(A) of the same law.
Indian authorities also registered a case under Sections 8, 20, 23, and 29 of the NDPS Act, covering offences including illegal possession, transport, import, and conspiracy involving narcotic substances.
The case remains under investigation by Indian authorities.
The arrest comes as Malaysian authorities continue investigating a separate case involving a Malaysia Airlines pilot who was arrested in Jakarta in July after Indonesian authorities allegedly found more than 70,000 ecstasy pills and other drugs in his luggage.
Since then, seven suspects, including another Malaysian pilot, have been arrested in connection with the case.
