A video of a customer raging at a KFC cashier for serving his food on a piece of paper went viral on Facebook

In the one-minute-11-second video that was reposted on the Sugu Pavithra Cooking Facebook page, the cashier explained that they ran out of box packaging to serve the food for dine-in customers. So, they served it on a tray with a piece of paper instead.

The customer was astonished at his excuse because he paid the full price and waited for about an hour for his food.

He then angrily pointed out the specks of dirt and leftover food on the tray.

"Look at that, that's leftover food! I paid with money! Where's your manager?!"

The customer also yelled, "The boxes are right there!" while pointing to the area behind the cashier.

Netizens in the comments section have different opinions about the video

Some of them agreed that KFC should improve their customer service.

"KFC's service has worsened," a netizen remarked.

"KFC has worsened. (They) take orders using a system that should speed up the process (of serving food). But even after waiting for over an hour, the food is still not ready. Better to use the old system. [It's] fast and satisfies the customers, no need for a new system that is slow," commented another.

However, many disagreed with the way that the customer chose to approach the issue

They felt that the customer should not have yelled at the cashier because he was innocent and was just following orders from the higher-up to serve the food on a piece of paper.

A Facebook user said, "There's no need to get angry like that. Speak politely. Pity the workers, they're only following orders. Unless that's their own idea (to serve food on paper)."

"Don't blame the worker. Go and see the boss," said another person.

A person who shared the same opinion commented, "It is the management's fault, not the worker."

"You're speaking to a person who has no power," one person pointed out, "Go and speak to the owner instead."
