Education Ministry To Investigate Leaked SPM History Paper Claims
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has urged SPM candidates to focus on the remaining exam papers.
The Education Ministry says it will investigate claims that this year's Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) History paper had been leaked
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek stated that the ministry would take appropriate action if the allegations were true, reported the New Straits Times.
"We will investigate and take full responsibility for this. At the same time, I emphasise that our integrity is high in controlling and ensuring that the issue of this examination is carefully guarded and well-controlled," she said.
"SPM is a national examination. So, any allegations of leaks will be investigated," she added.
On Monday, 5 February, a TikTok video allegedly containing the essay questions for this year's SPM History paper circulated online
The issue came to light when a parent shared the TikTok video on their social media, alleging that the questions had been leaked on 5 February, the same day the History exam was conducted.
Fadhlina expressed hope that the alleged leak would not disrupt the SPM candidates, and urged them to focus on the remaining exam papers.
