If you've been paying your Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributions over the counter at an EPF office, that option is about to disappear
EPF has announced that all contribution payment counters at its offices nationwide will cease operations from 1 July 2026.
The move affects only payment and remittance counters. Other EPF service counters will continue operating as usual.
This means members and employers can still visit EPF branches for other services, but contribution payments will need to be made through alternative channels.
According to EPF, contribution payments can continue to be made through:
- The KWSP i-Akaun mobile app
- Internet banking platforms
- Bank agent counters
- EPF Self-Service Terminals (SST)
- Mobile KWSP Team and Relationship Advisory (RA) services
For employers, EPF is encouraging the use of the i-Akaun (Employer) portal
According to EPF, it enables contribution payments to be processed more smoothly.
EPF stressed that the closure of its payment counters will not affect members' or employers' ability to make contributions, as multiple payment channels remain available.
The retirement fund said the move is part of its ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and provide members with secure, accessible, and efficient ways to carry out transactions.
